Graham Cross has made more appearances in a Leicester City shirt than any other player during a Filbert Street playing career between November 1960 and June 1976. Although his league appearance total falls short of Adam Black's club record, his aggregate tally of 599 senior league and cup appearances is unlikely to be bettered.

Cross was a versatile player over 16 seasons at Filbert Street and many believe his constant switching of position cost him the chance of England honours. Accomplished in defence, midfield or attack, it wasn't until later in his career that Cross became an established defender. Cross appeared in each of City's FA Cup finals during the 1960s and was also a member of the club's Football League Cup final team in 1964.
