Yorkshireman Ken Keyworth carried all the cliched characteristics of his home county during his seven season spell at Filbert Street. A dour and honest grafter, Keyworth developed from a left-half into a top scoring centre forward who capped with a spectacular diving header in City's 1963 FA Cup defeat.

Keyworth wore the number 10 shirt in the 1961 FA Cup final defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur, the number 9 shirt in 1963 and was still City's central striker in both legs of the 1964 League Cup triumph. Ken Keyworth was signed from Rotherham United in May 1958 for the bargain price of £9,000 and made 177 appearances during which he scored 63 goals before his free-transfer to Coventry City in December 1964.
