Kids in Leicester Royal Infirmary's Children's Hospital got the chance to come face to face with their sporting heroes when members of the Leicester City squad visited on Tuesday.

A Leicester City spokesman said: "We are always keen to try and help bring a smile to the children's faces especially as some of them may not make it home for Christmas.

"We are a family-orientated club and are all for helping within the community whenever possible.

"The visit is always very humbling but hopefully the children enjoyed the time that they spent with the players."

A selection of players from the first team squad came to hand out selection boxes to the youngsters on the wards, sign autographs and have photos taken with the children.
