Last season, Leicester City introduced a unique way of raising much needed funds for your local junior football club with the Leicester City Grass Roots Ticket Scheme.

The scheme offered registered clubs access to discounted match tickets to Leicester City games at the Walkers Stadium AND donated £1 for every ticket purchased, directly back to the your local Club to help raise funds towards the running of their team. Dozens of local clubs took advantage of the scheme with hundreds of youngsters attending first-team games with discounted tickets, helping improve the atmosphere for our home games as well as raising much needed funds for the local clubs along the way.

We are delighted to announce that due to the success of the scheme in its first year, we are offering the benefits to all junior football clubs across Leicestershire and Rutland for the 2007/08 season. With match ticket prices for the Under 16's reduced for the coming season from £17 to £12, tickets for the Under 12's reduced from £14 to £5 and the Under 8's being able to attend for FREE, we believe even more youngsters, together with their parents and coaches, can enjoy watching live professional football at the Walkers Stadium.

Look out for details of special Grass Roots Fixtures during the new season, whereby members of the scheme will qualify for additional discounts on top of the already publicised match ticket price reductions, together with details of additional benefits available once certain levels of tickets have been purchased.

Leicester City would like to engage as many youngsters as possible to support the Club and believe that the Grass Roots Ticket Scheme will help us achieve this goal as well as giving us the opportunity to support football at Grass Roots level.

Registration to the scheme is completely free and can be done by simply e-mailing your club's details to grassroots@lcfc.co.uk
