Ian Holloway said there were plenty of positives to take out of Tuesday night's 1-0 defeat at the hands of top-of-the-table Watford at Vicarage Road.

Holloway's side looked to have the momentum when the Hornets were reduced to ten men ahead of the break.

But a Darius Henderson strike against the run of play would prove to be enough for the home side on the night - despite some heavy pressure from the Foxes in the second half.

Speaking after the game, the City boss said: "I don't think I am the only manager in the world to not get a result against a side that has been reduced to 10 men.

"We actually got Watford down to 10 men through a fantastic move that we were going to go on and score from.

"We seemed to be dealing with it, but then a little bit of anxiety at the other end has cost us. My 'keeper has come out when he didn't need to and it has fallen to one of their players.

"Apart from actually putting the ball in the net I thought that we looked a lot better tonight. We passed the ball well, got it wide and created chances. Unfortunately we have come out losers.

"We had to try and break them down in the second half. They have got a giant in Danny Shittu at the back but I still felt that we moved the ball around well and got it wide. We just lacked a bit of quality in the final third.

"The lads are finding it very difficult away from home at the minute. But that was so much better. We stayed quite resilient all the way through, but we have let a stupid goal in which just about sums it up.

"We made four or five anxious challenges in the first half that don't happen if you are calm and if you are winning.

"I think that we deserved at least a point from the game. It was a much better performance all round and that is what it is all about.

"They have got a 50 yard throw and I thought that we coped with that really well. It was just one set piece that my goalie has come out for. He's 21 and he's fuming in the changing room. All these things seem to be going against us at the moment.

"If the boys keep believing and keep producing that then the confidence will come back. We have now got a great game against Norwich at home on Saturday which will give us the chance to try and catch them."
