City made it two wins from two with netting twice against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

The first opportunity fell to City's Nat Reay after good work by Handley and Meade before Allen came close from a free-kick.

At the other end a fierce free-kick by Gutteridge came back off the City crossbar with Sophie Le Gros beaten

Reay and then Caz Toone were on target soon after but their shots were well saved again by Nat Hall in the Wolves goal.

The second half saw Wolves come out of the traps in determined fashion but City's rear-guard of Lauren Impey and Jade Radburn stood firm.

Le Gros was beaten again as a Wolves shot rebounded off the woodwork while Impey had to make a last ditch tackle to thwart another attack.

Meade was denied with a bullet header from Handley's cross before the hosts finally unlocked the visitors' defence on 78 minutes when Handley fired home after connecting with Impey's cross.
