City made the mammoth trek to Hereford after a busy week for their third game in 7 days on Sunday. Fortunately a nice day out was worthwhile with a resounding win against the home side.

A slightly altered starting line up for City gave several youngsters a chance at playing 90 minutes bringing them on nicely. The first half wasn't the most eventful that City have played maybe due to the journey but still managed to produce some goals from Vicky Lines and Natasha Meade who are certainly finding their feet in front of goal now.

The majority of the half was condensed into the midfield third as Hereford were playing a risky game with high line defensive strategy. For most of the half it worked as City were caught out Offside several times.

Second half the game opened up massively as City became more intelligent about how they played and played early balls into the spaces to expose Hereford at the back using the lightning pace of Helen Shipman in her first full game debut, Zira Handley on the right and Meade and Lines working down the centre.

City created numerous chances by playing quick tempo football and Vicky Lines got another goal putting her tally to 3 in two games and could have had a hattrick. Meade also got another and had some opportunities for a further 2, Shipman got herself in good positions to finish two and again missed possibly her easiest shot to be denied a hattrick. Courtney Sweetman-Kirk came on and scored and Handley also got her name on the score sheet. In amongst the

City goals though some bad decision making when playing out from the back led to some defensive disarray and City gifted Hereford a consolation goal. To Hereford's credit they kept battling throughout the game put couldn't match the tempo of City in the second half.
