Leicester City U18 4-0 Cardiff City U18
Four second half strikes helped Leicester City's academy side cruise past Cardiff City when they met at the Belvoir Drive training ground on Saturday.
Elliott Chamberlain, Lathanial Rowe-Turner and Craig King grabbed the goals for the Foxes as they made it four consecutive wins in the FA Premier Academy League.
The home side started brightly and a dipping shot from Chamberlain in the 10th minute beat the Bluebirds goalkeeper - but the ball rebounded off the underside of the bar and was turned behind for a corner.
The woodwork again denied City in first half stoppage time when Lee Cox picked out Robbie Burns in front of goal, but the midfielder could only hit the upright.
The breakthrough came five minutes after the restart when a header from Andy King found Chamberlain on the edge of the area. The striker's quick turn created enough space to slot the ball home.
City doubled their advantage on the hour - Lathanital Rowe-Turner grabbed his second goal in as many games as he took advantage of a goalmouth scramble.
Moments later Craig King (pictured) tried his luck from long range and put the game beyond doubt as the ball nestled into the goal.
The Bluebirds fate was sealed in stoppage time when a Robbie Burns cross was helped on by Fraser Tuttle only for a Cardiff defender to deflect the ball into his own net.
Leicester City's academy side return to action next Saturday (1st) when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur.
