Leicester City boss Ian Holloway could be without six key players for Saturday's Championship clash against Sheffield United at Bramall Lane.
Hendrie, who joined the Foxes from the Blades last month, is unable to play in the match due to a clause in his loan agreement, and Barry Hayles will serve the second match of his two game ban.
Meanwhile, Stephen Clemence has been effectively ruled out for the campaign after it was confirmed that he would go under the surgeon's knife for an operation on his heel.
And with Iain Hume (ankle), Jamie Clapham (groin) and Kelvin Etuhu (hamstring) all in the treatment room, Holloway could be down to the bare bones this weekend.
He said: "There are a number of things that I have got to have a look at and deal with ahead of our game against Sheffield United.
"Lee and Barry are both definitely out. I spoke to my physio this morning and it doesn't look like Iain is going to be fit, which is disappointing. Stephen is now going to have his operation so he is also unavailable.
"We are going to have a look to see where Jamie is later in the week. Kelvin has also got a problem with his hamstrings at the moment. We should know more about both of them on Thursday.
"It's not ideal, but we will get on with it. I have got the rest of this week to think about what I am going to do. I'm already contemplating a few ideas.
"We have got a reserve game against Bradford on Wednesday night and I am going to play the young kids because I can't risk anyone getting injured at this stage."
Holloway also confirmed that he was keeping close tags on the Leicester City youngsters who are currently out on loan.
Max Gradel hit the headlines on Saturday after scoring twice to help Bournemouth to victory, while Louis Dodds (Lincoln), Conrad Logan (Stockport), Eric Odhiambo (Dundee United), Jonathan Hayes (Northampton) and Alan Sheehan (Leeds United) are all currently plying their trade away from the Walkers Stadium.
He added: "My scouting network keeps a close eye on the lads we have currently got out on loan.
"We had Max back at the training ground for a week while his second loan deal was being sorted out, and I am looking forward to working with him over the summer. Gary Penrice has watched him three times and we believe he is in the right place at the moment. He's getting some valuable experience."
