Football is an unpredictable business as we are rightly finding out, but one thing I can guarantee is that come April 26, I'll be wheeling myself out for my 28th and 'final' charity run around the pitch prior to kick-off against Sheffield Wednesday.

You should all know by now what to expect and hopefully some of our players will join me for a couple of laps together with the opposing team.

I also hope to have a few celebs running around with me on the day.

This year my chosen charity is PROSTaid, which is dedicated to supporting men with Prostate Cancer.

PROSTaid is run by a group of men who have prostate cancer and work to improve the care, welfare and awareness of local men with prostate cancer.

I was shocked to find out that there is a one in 14 chance of men being affected by prostate cancer, with over 30,100 new cases a year.

That's why I was honoured to be asked to become a Patron of the charity along with Everards Brewery Chairman Richard Everard by Stuart Berry and hopefully my run and the coverage it receives will help raise its profile.

I have friends with prostate cancer and know the impact it can have on men's lives and that of their loved ones, that's why I have been so keen to help them out.

I probably won't be able to walk for a week after the run but, with your help, I am determined to give it my all once again!

It gets harder each year, believe you me, but my target is again at least 50 laps.

Your support over the last 27 years has been magnificent and the money I've raised during that time for over 60 charities has all been thanks to you guys.

But I'd ask you to dig deep again and please make a donation, no matter how small. Every little helps, please remember that.

Cheques should be made payable to 'LCFC Charity Account' and be posted to myself at the Training Ground or the stadium.

Cash donations can also be received at the Training Ground or Walkers Stadium for my attention.

Still on the subject of my run, I'm desperate as always for collectors on the day.

If you're prepared to rattle a tin or two before kick-off then please report to the Staff Entrance on the day at 1.15pm and we'll put a tin and a T-shirt in your hand.

Collectors must be 16 or over unless accompanied by an adult.
