Leicester City's Under-18s ended their Academy League season with a 2-2 draw at Chelsea on Saturday lunchtime.

Reneil Sappleton (pictured) opened the scoring for the visitors after 20 minutes before the Blues levelled just before the break.

Sappleton's second of the contest restored the Foxes' advantage but the home side were not to be outdone and equalised for a second time on 80 minutes.

However, Academy Manager Jon Rudkin was delighted with the team's application and attitude on the day.

He said: "We are all very pleased with the result after what has been a long, hard season.

"We maybe should have won the game but a point against a team of Chelsea's calibre is pleasing."
