Leicester City will entertain Birmingham City in a pre-season friendly at the Walkers Stadium on Tuesday, July 29 (7.45pm).

The match against their Midlands rivals will form part of the Foxes' preparations ahead of their 2008/09 League One campaign.

Alex McLeish's side will start the campaign in the Championship having been relegated from the Premier League but are certain to keep the nucleus of their squad together in an attempt to bounce back at the first attempt.

The last meeting between the two sides came in April, 2007 when the Blues edged home 2-1 despite a second half onslaught from the Foxes.

Ticket prices and selling arrangements will be announced in due course.
