Club Clarify Season Ticket Pricing Structure
Leicester City have today clarified that the prices of their season tickets for the 2008-09 campaign are in line with that of the previous season.
Feedback to the club has suggested that supporters had been led to believe that a price rise had been put into place for the upcoming League One campaign.
But the Foxes were today able to confirm that was not the case.
A City spokesman said: "It is correct that our discounted Early Bird price will come to an end on May 31 - but at this point prices will fall into line with what they were last season.
"We have tried to make our pricing structure easier for supporters to understand this year - and also placed a big incentive on fans securing their seats ahead of the deadline - as of previous seasons. Everyone who purchases their tickets ahead of the deadline will receive the discounted rate. Following May 31 the prices will increase by 10%.
"We announced a price freeze and that is what supporters have got. Ahead of the deadline all of our prices are as they were during the discount period last season. This also applies following the deadline."
The savings available on season tickets purchased prior to May 31 are substantial, over £200 in some cases.
But from June 1 the Early Bird prices, which provide adult season tickets from just £12 per game, will rise to just over £13 per game while adult prices for the South Stand and the Marks Electrical Family Stand are frozen at £322 until May 31, rising to £354 from after then.
Meanwhile, new family season ticket discounts and easy payment plans, designed to help spread the cost of a season ticket, have also been introduced for next term.
The club will also continue to offer FREE season tickets for the Under-8s in the Marks Electrical Family Stand.
Adult season tickets are currently available from £275 in some parts of the stadium.
