Leicester City have joined forces with club sponsors Topps Tiles to host a nationwide youth football tournament at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday (May 24).

A total of 26 teams, which will range from the ages of 8-14, will arrive at Leicester from the length and breadth of the UK - with sides from Glasgow to London and Liverpool to Scarborough all taking part.

Topps Tiles are one of the largest sponsors of youth football in the UK - with over 250 clubs sporting their yellow branded shirts.

And this nationwide competition again re-affirms the commitments of both parties to youth football in the community.

Mark Lever, Topps Tiles advertising co-ordinator, said: "We are delighted to continue our support of youth football.

"A lot of these youngsters will be getting the opportunity to play in what is a Premier League standard stadium for the first time - and it promises to be a great day for them all."

A City spokesman added: "We have built up a fantastic relationship with Topps and when we got the opportunity to host this event we were only too happy to help."
