Leicester City kept their second successive clean sheet as they battled out a goalless with high-flying Cardiff at the Walkers Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The hard-earned Championship point just two days before Christmas extended the Foxes unbeaten run to three matches following wins over Wolves and Barnsley.
But in a game of few clear-cut chances, only Elvis Hammond, Patrick Kisnorbo and Gareth Williams came close for the hosts while second-half substitute Matty Fryatt had a goal ruled out for offside.
City were the first to show when the in-form Hammond's shot was comfortably saved by Neil Alexander in the Bluebirds goal on two minutes.
At the other end, Michael Chopra fired over the bar from the right hand angle on 12 minutes before a last ditch tackle from Kisnorbo denied the same player soon after.
The Foxes had appeals for a penalty turned down in the 19th minute after Hammond's effort had been blocked by captain Darren Purse.
Gareth William's effort from 20-yards out flew wide of the target two minutes later after Hammond's run had been halted.
Henderson easily gathered Stephen McPhail's inswinging free-kick on 25 minutes then stopped Chopra's quick set-piece moments later.
After a lull in play, Iain Hume's flick header in the 37th minute landed on top of Cardiff's crossbar.
Alexander saved from Hammond on 41 minutes but City saved their best attack until first-half stoppage time.
Following a neat build-up, Hume's vicious shot could only be parried by Alexander, but the Cardiff number one reacted well to deny Hammond at his feet after the striker had reacted first to the loose ball.
But the hosts could not break the deadlock and the game remained goalless at the interval.
Both sides made a change at half-time with Andy Welsh replacing Josh Low and Darcy Blake coming on for the injured former Fox Ricky Scimeca.
Williams again tried his luck from distance on 49 minutes but his effort went over the bar.
The Foxes upped the tempo and were enjoying the lion's share of the play with Danny Tiatto volleying wide from distance in the 55th minute.
A minute later Alan Wright replaced Kerrea Gilbert before Paul Parry shot over five minutes later.
Hammond made way for Fryatt on 67 minutes then Hume tested Alexander but the Cardiff No.1 was equal to the task.
Purse headed over the bar moments later before Alan Maybury cleared off the line from Chopra in the 73rd minute.
Nils-Eric Johansson forced Alexander into a save a minute later.
Fryatt had a goal disallowed for offside on 78 minutes after converting Maybury's low drive.
Kisnorbo was cautioned for bringing down Chopra two minutes later then McPhail followed suit after fouling Hume, who was left grounded.
James Wesolowski replaced Tiatto on 84 minutes and Williams fired just wide soon after as the hosts looked for that late winner.
Cardiff's best chance came two minutes from time when Chopra met Parry's teasing cross but he was unable to direct his volley on target.
And it remained goalless at full-time as defences came out on top of this Christmas clash.
