LCFC vs WolvesLevi Porter's dramatic late winner against Wolves at Molineux on Saturday afternoon helped Leicester City secure their first Championship victory in seven attempts.

The youngster's 90th minute strike - his second of the season - ensured a 2-1 triumph over their Midlands rivals.

In a game of few chances, Elvis Hammond's third goal of the campaign in the first half looked to have ensured the Foxes the win but Lewis Gobern's disputed equaliser on 81 minutes seemed to have made it a point apiece.

But Porter had other ideas and he popped up in the right place at the right time in stoppage time to spark the celebrations amongst the travelling contingent.

Gary Breen kept his composure to head back to his keeper Matt Murray under pressure from Gareth Williams on three minutes.

Danny Tiatto fed Alan Maybury on the left flank who in turn beat Mark Little but after advancing into the area, his low drive could only find the side-netting with players queuing up in the middle.

Porter found space down the left but after jinking his way into the area in the 10th minute, his pull back for Hammond was hacked clear by captain Jody Craddock.

Porter was again in the thick of action two minutes later when his teasing cross looked destined for the head of Hammond but Craddock just managed to get the slightest of touches to divert the ball behind for a corner.

It was all City in the early stages as they pushed for the opener with Hammond being pulled back for offside on 16 minutes when he looked to have broken the Wolves offside trap.

The hosts' first real chance of the contest came in the 21st minute when Gobern's cross from the right found the head of Jay Bothroyd at the back post but he directed his effort just wide under pressure from Richard Stearman and Gareth McAuley.

It was the home side's turn to apply a bit of pressure and after a goalmouth scramble following a corner, Craddock's shot inside the 18-yard box was blocked by a diving McAuley.

Bothroyd drilled his shot wide on 37 minutes after cutting in from the right but it was the visitors who opened the scoring a minute later.

Iain Hume's through ball found Hammond and he held off the challenge of Craddock and Gary Breen to fire the ball home across Matt Murray and into the corner for the opener.

Seyi Olofinjana headed straight at Paul Henderson moments later then Gobern put his effort over the bar two minutes before the interval.

The Foxes were handed a let-off in first-half stoppage time when Gobern's 25-yard effort beat Henderson but clipped the crossbar and flew behind for a goal-kick.

That was to be the last action of the first-half as City went into the break a goal to the good.

Craig Davies replaced Jemal Johnson for the start of the second half as Stephen Hughes dragged his shot wide from the kick-off.

At the other end, Davies just failed to meet Bothroyd's left-wing cross before Danny Tiatto saw yellow in the 54th minute after bringing down Michael McIndoe.

Bothroyd found the side-netting two minutes later then Olofinjana headed wide from Jamie Clapham's cross.

Wolves upped the tempo in search of the leveller before Henderson saved well from Karl Henry on 65 minutes.

A minute later Tiatto, on a yellow card, made way for James Wesolowski.

Henry was cautioned for a late lunge on goalscorer Hammond in the 68th minute.

A last minute tackle from Alan Maybury proved enough to prevent Bothroyd from finding the target on 71 minutes after good work down the right by Davies.

McIndoe put his free-kick from 20-yards over the bar in the 75th minute before Hammond was booked for dissent moments later.

Porter did well down the left and his dangerous cross had to be headed behind by Craddock for a corner, which came to nothing.

McAuley just failed to meet Porter's inswigning cross 10 minutes from time.

However, the home side equalised with a fortuitous effort a minute later.

The ball fell to Gobern on the edge of the area and his miss-hit volley found its way through a crowd of players and found the back of the net off the inside of the City post for the leveller.

Maybury was booked in the aftermath for protesting then Wesolowski was replaced by Josh Low for the final few minutes.

However, City snatched all three points in the 90th minute when Porter, having been played through by Hammond, held his nerve before advancing into the area and calmly placing the ball into the back of the net via Murray for a dramatic clincher.
