Rab Douglas arrived at the Walkers Stadium in June 2005 after five successful years under Martin O'Neill at Celtic. The 33-year-old goalkeeper reportedly took a pay cut to join Leicester, signing a three-year-deal.
Douglas, capped 19 times by Scotland, made 162 appearances after a £1m move to Celtic from Dundee.
His farewell game for the Hoops was the Scottish FA Cup Final in which Celtic beat Dundee United 1-0. Douglas also helped them win the Scottish league title on three occasions.
He played 134 times for Dundee (1997-2000) which prompted his big money move to Celtic.
Douglas, who was given his international debut in April 2002 when he started against Nigeria at Pittodrie, made his first appearance for Leicester on their pre-season tour of Norway. Soon after, he featured against former club Celtic in a friendly at the Walkers Stadium.
The Scotsman began the 2005-06 campaign as first choice 'keeper, but a freak accident at home which saw him fall down the stairs and sustain an ankle injury would keep him out for two matches at the end of September.
He was back between the sticks for the Burnley match in mid-October and he would keep his place in the side until he unfortunately sustained a thigh injury during the clash against Derby County in February.
Paul Henderson deputised in his absence, and the Australian would remain number one choice for the remaining 12 games of the campaign.
Douglas added one international cap to his name during the campaign when he came on as a second half substitute in Scotland's 2-2 friendly draw with Austria in August 2005.
Douglas was placed on the transfer list by former manager Martin Allen on Thursday, June 7.
He joined Plymouth for a one-week loan period in March 2008.
