Left-back Clive Clarke joined Leicester City on a three-month loan deal from Sunderland on Wednesday, August 16 2007.
Clarke originally joined Stoke City as a trainee in August 1996, making his debut against Oldham in May 1999.
He went on to make a total of 262 appearances in all competitions for the Potters in nines years at the club, helping them to the League One Play-Off semi-final in May 2001 and promotion to the Championship in May the following year.
Clarke then signed for West Ham for a fee of £275,000 in July 2005 but only made two appearances before joining Sunderland in August 2006.
He played four games then moved to Coventry City on loan in October 2006 until January 2007 where he played 12 matches.
Clarke was a Republic of Ireland Under-21 international and currently has two caps for his country.
The player made his debut for the Foxes in their 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park.
Clive is currently recovering after collapsing at half-time during City's Carling Cup second round tie with Nottingham Forest.
