Once again LCFC's Centre of excellence is up and running for a ninth season.

The leagues are non-competitive and are for the sake of development only, therefore results are not published, but this does not stop the girls scoring goals!

The Centre of Excellence is the next step up for players in local clubs that are showing that extra talent and with four UEFA B Licence coaches involved the quality of the coaching provides an environment to progress even further.

Training twice a week plus matches also enables the players to learn quickly and develop every part of their game with specialist coaches coming in to support goalkeeping, fitness work and technical skills.

Several girls have even been put forward by the Centre to the England squads for training camps, something which many of our players have been involved in over the years.

Currently we have Kirsty Linnett, an Under-14 player, training within the Under-15 England set-up and she is set to play in a friendly versus Wales in the near future.

Another successful player in our midst has come all the way through the Centre, and that is Remi Allen whose profile is featured on this page this evening.

Allen is currently away with England Under-19s in Lithuania to play both Lithuania and Spain in Phase One of the UEFA Under-19 Championships.
